marcasitecameo.jpg (201584 bytes) Very pretty cameo brooch-pendant.  Circa 1930s.  The setting is 800 silver with marcasites. Marked 800.  Frame also has a pendant bail that hangs out of site behind the cameo when worn as a brooch. Cameo measures 1 3/4  inches, including the setting.  Background color is slightly deeper and redder than appears in photo of front of cameo.  Excellent condition.
$220.
sexyhera2.jpg (44268 bytes) Exceptionally beautiful antique cameo brooch of the goddess Hebe among the clouds, raising a bowl.  Circa 1910.  An unusually detailed and realistic depiction of a female nude in graceful fluid motion.  The setting is not marked but tests as 14k gold.  Old style clasp, fold down swiveling pendant bail. Cameo measures nearly 2 1/2  inches, including the setting.  Flawless condition (small line on back is a light reflection, swirling color variation is natural to shell).
$2400.
Antique Cameo Brooch Pendant Antique hand carved cameo brooch - pendant with woman wearing a necklace and earring of genuine diamonds. Cameos with gemstones set into them are often referred to as cameo habille. White gold filigree frame marked 14k on clasp. Folding pendant bail, early safety clasp. Circa 1910. Just shy of 2 inches, including frame. Condition is excellent. There is a rough area on the back of the cameo, natural to the shell.
$800.
Antique Victorian Cameo Brooch Victorian cameo brooch of Hebe feeding the eagle of Zeus. The beautiful setting is unmarked and untested, but has the look and feel of high-carat gold. C-clasp, t-hinge, and extended pinstem. Cameo measures an impressive 2 1/2 inches (62 mm) including frame. Condition is near perfect, with no wear and a few very light very small stress lines visible when the cameo is held to the light.
$1150.
Arethusa Cameo Brooch Antique cameo brooch of the water nymph Arethusa. Twisted wire brass frame, gilded a bright gold. My camera made the background shell slightly seem more reddish than it truly is and also muted the brightness of the frame. Circa 1850. 2-1/4 inches including frame. There is writing scratched on the back that is mostly illegible, possibly "Cav ref" or "Car..." and the number (date?)1855. The clasp was replaced with a more secure safety clasp at some point. There is one very small, very light stress line (only visible when held to the light) and a few small areas of slight darkening on the frame. Otherwise, like-new condition.
$1000.
diamonds.jpg (146234 bytes) Antique Shell Cameo Habille Brooch / Pendant.
A turn-of-the-century cameo brooch - pendant depicting a woman wearing a necklace and earring of genuine diamonds set into the shell.  The white gold filigree setting is marked 14k.  The swivel pendant bail can be folded down out of sight when the cameo is worn as a brooch.  Cameo measures just over 2 1/4 inches (5.5 cm) including frame.  Condition is near perfect, with no wear and only very light growth lines visible when the cameo is held to the light.  The color of the cameo appears darker in the photo, the figure of the woman is a brighter, creamier white.

$1250.
lionhunt.jpg (119214 bytes) Victorian carved shell cameo brooch depicting a barefoot female warrior on horseback spearing an attacking lion. The frame is gold plated. The cameo swivels and the reverse is a glass compartment. This may have been a mourning piece and the compartment probably held a hair memento. At this time it only contains a piece of green velvet. C-clasp, t-hinge. The cameo itself measures nearly 2 inches, including the frame, the entire piece is almost 2-3/4 inches. The cameo itself has a bit of roughness along the edge on the top and bottom (seen only under magnification) and two very light stress lines. The frame has significant wear to the plating, a couple fine scratches and some very small dents.
$650.
couple3.jpg (40851 bytes) Victorian shell cameo brooch depicting an unidentified couple. Set in a 9k gold frame which was reinforced in the back by two metal bands (not gold). The clasp is an early type of safety clasp, c. 1910 or so, it appears to be a replacement. Cameo measures 2-1/8 inches including frame. A few light stress lines are visible when it's held to the light, and there are scratches on the metal bands. Otherwise condition is excellent.
$200.
cameo.jpg (33216 bytes) Victorian cameo brooch.  The setting is marked 9c (9 karat) and has a mark that is an "A" and an "I".    C-clasp, small loop for safety chain at top. Cameo measures approximately 1 3/4 inches (4.3 cm) including frame.  Very slight wear to the cameo high points, excellent condition overall.
$245.
